✓ Unique Ambiance: The crackling fire adds a sense of rustic charm and creates a more natural spa experience.

✓ Faster Heating: Wood-fired hot tubs can heat up much faster than electric models, allowing you to enjoy your hot tub sooner.

    Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of a woodfired hot tub?

Wood-fired hot tubs are a sustainable and cost-effective choice for people looking for an eco friendly tub. Enjoy a faster heat-up, a touch of rustic charm, and the well-being benefits of hot water therapy – all while minimising your environmental impact. They're perfect for relaxation, stress relief, muscle pain management, and even better sleep, making them a great place to unwind with friends and family.

How long does it typically take to heat up a wood-fired hot tub?

The heating time for a wood-fired hot tub can vary but you can expect it to be between 1.5 to 2.5 hours on average. Here's a breakdown of some key influences:

Season: In summer, with warmer starting water temperatures and better weather conditions, you can expect a heating time of around 1.5 hours. In winter, with colder starting water and potentially lower outside temperatures, it might take closer to 2.5 hours.

Wood Type: Dry, seasoned firewood burns hotter and heats the water faster than wet or poorly seasoned wood.

Weather Conditions: Wind and colder temperatures can slow down the heating process.

Initial Water Temperature: Colder water will naturally take longer to heat up.

Is a heater included with the hot tub?

Absolutely, the hot tub comes with a built-in heater! In addition to the heater, you'll also receive a convenient set of accessories, including steps, a thermometer, a rain cowl to protect the heater from the elements, and a paddle to stir the water for even heat distribution. We've included everything you need to get started on your hot tub journey!

    What electrics are required?

Most of our woodpecker hot tubs require a 13amp plug. This is the most common and easiest to install. It plugs into a regular outdoor waterproof socket with RCD protection.

How much maintenance is required for a wood-fired hot tub?

Maintaining your wood-fired hot tub is easy! Regular cleaning (tub & filters), annual chimney sweep, balanced water chemistry, and dry firewood storage are key. A good cover protects your investment.

How much wood will I need to heat up my wood-fired hot tub?

Heating your wood-fired hot tub depends on a few things: size, desired water temperature, starting water temperature, weather, and firewood quality (dry wood burns best!). Start with a smaller amount and add more as needed to reach your perfect soak temperature.

What's the recommended temperature range for a wood-fired hot tub?

For a comfortable and safe soak, aim for a temperature between 38°C - 40°C. Exceeding 42°C can be dangerous. Keep a close eye on children and elderly bathers, and stay hydrated before, during, and after.
